Chris Foss needs little introduction to sci-fi fans of this era. 21st Century Foss is his first collection and encompasses his early move work on Alejandro Jodorowsky’s aborted Dune movie (Jodorowsky provides a colorfully worded preface), early Superman concept sketches, along with more commercial, military subjects. The bulk of the book is devoted to his best known genre: sci-fi ships! A 2011 edition of Foss’s work is now available at a great price on Amazon. In a full departure from this genre, Foss also illustrated the original edition of The Joy of Sex.
